HI, I'M SARAH
Qualified Massage Therapist with the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) | Member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA) | Trained in OMT Spinal Manipulation | Trained in Symptom Reduction Taping (SRT) with the Rock Tape UK Course | Qualified Pilates Instructor | Trained in Nutritional Therapy | Rock Pod Therapy
I qualified as a Massage Therapist in 2005 with the London School of Sports Massage and have been helping clients with their aches and pains for the last 16 years using various massage techniques. I’ve always had a keen interest in sport and played tennis and hockey to county level. Alongside this I suffered with a few injuries here and there and whilst growing up I had a passion to learn more and a desire to teach others and help them to prevent sports related injuries.
In 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a different journey for a few years. Since then, I have set up my own business; driven by the desire to help others, alongside focussing on my family and being around for my children more. Prior to setting up Core & Body Care I was doing massage as a side line to my main office based career which was in Sales.
During my breast cancer treatment, I was introduced to pilates as part of my rehabilitation programme given it is low impact exercise and has so many benefits for both the mind as well as the body to help with the healing process. I’d been wanting to add another service to my business and I was already assisting my massage clients who needed exercises and stretches following their treatment to help strengthen their bodies and prevent further injuries from occurring.
Pilates perfectly compliments my sports massage therapy so I decided to train as a pilates instructor and qualified in January 2019. Since then I have been running my own pilates classes both as groups or 1:1 sessions. I specialise in small classes as they provide a more tailored and personal session for those with injuries looking to strengthen and prevent further injuries from occurring.
