Are you a January Detox(er)

January detoxes are popular for several reasons. After the holiday season, people often indulge in rich, calorie-dense foods and might consume more alcohol than usual. As a result, they might feel sluggish, bloated, or just want to reset their bodies and start the new year on a healthier note. A January detox can offer a structured way to transition back to healthier habits, including eating more fruits and vegetables, drinking more water, and reducing intake of processed foods or alcohol. It's often seen as a way to kickstart a healthier lifestyle and re-establish balance after a period of indulgence.

 

When detoxing, supporting the liver becomes crucial because the liver is the body's primary organ for detoxification. It plays a central role in breaking down and removing toxins, metabolic waste, and other harmful substances from the body.

During a detox, the body might be processing a higher-than-normal amount of toxins due to changes in diet or lifestyle. This increased workload can put added stress on the liver. By supporting the liver, you help it function optimally, ensuring that it can efficiently process and eliminate these toxins.

There are various ways to support liver health during a detox, including:



1.      Hydration: Drinking plenty of water helps flush out toxins and supports overall liver function.

I will be running a January Detox programme for those wanting to take it seriously and nourish their bodies and livers correctly during the detox.


The programme will run from either the 2nd January or the 8th January depending on when you would like to start.
